Time for me in St. Lucia: A Solo Stay at BodyHoliday & StolenTime
I recently spent a week on my own in St. Lucia, splitting my time between two sister resorts: BodyHoliday and StolenTime. I booked it because I wanted a break — some time to unplug, get some sun, and do something completely for myself.

BodyHoliday: Trying New Things
I started at BodyHoliday, where health and wellness is the main focus — but not in a rigid, water-only-and-silent-retreat kind of way. It’s active, social, and encourages you to try new things and fully immerse yourself in the BodyHoliday experience. Most days, I did a mix of yoga, beach walks, and group fitness classes.
The standout part? Trying new things. I gave archery a go, tried paddleboarding for the first time (fell off a lot), and even joined a sound bath mediation class — which I absolutely did not plan to enjoy but loved. The daily spa treatments were the icing on the cake — quiet time to unwind and recharge, which I needed after throwing myself into all those activities.
What I appreciated most was how easy it was to meet people. I connected with a few other solo travellers over dinner and group classes. Everyone’s on their own path, but there’s a shared understanding that makes conversation come naturally.

StolenTime: Slowing Down
After a few days of movement and challenging myself, I moved to StolenTime — a quieter, adults-only resort with a totally different feel. Where BodyHoliday is full of motion, StolenTime is more about stillness, reflection, and being present. And honestly, that contrast worked perfectly.
Here, the “new things” were less physical and more about looking after your mind. I spent hours reading by the pool and walking around the beautiful gardens. I joined a breathwork session, tried Pickleball, and took part in a Paint & Sip class.
One of my favourite meals of the trip was lunch at Malabar Beach Club, right on the sand at StolenTime. It’s a toes-in-the-sand kind of place with relaxed vibes and a Caribbean-inspired menu that absolutely delivered. I had grilled fish with tropical salsa, a cold glass of rosé. Eating alone never felt awkward there — just peaceful.

The Champagne Bar is a cozy, elegant little spot tucked away with live piano music and the kind of low-lit vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. I ended up there most nights — sipping something sparkling, chatting with fellow guests, or just sitting with a book.
It was strange at first to slow down so much, but that shift in pace was exactly what I needed.
What I Took Away
BodyHoliday helped me push myself. StolenTime helped me rest and reflect. Together, they gave me a chance to step away from the usual noise and reconnect with myself.
Already looking forward to my next visit.
