We all know that over the years, multi-generational holidays have been increasing in popularity. What better way to enjoy a family getaway than including the grandparents and the cousins and make lasting memories all together.
My family decided to plan a summer holiday to the Caribbean which in the summer, offers far better value than European alternatives.
With more people to please and having to find something that catered to all ages, some people might have been overwhelmed with the planning- but I knew the perfect place to recommend; Sea Breeze Beach House in Barbados.

We booked a Luxury Oceanfront Junior Suite which was super spacious and had stunning views. The ground floor Classic Poolside Rooms were ideal for my Grandad who was travelling solo and the adult-only Classic Oceanfront rooms worked for my Mum and her husband who could hide away from the children when needed. The multiple-bedroom suites worked perfectly for my sister who has two small children plus a teen- so everyone had their own space. The Suites at Sea Breeze Beach House go all the way up to four -bedrooms (sleeping up to 10) so for any of those large or unusual family configurations, then there is an option here.
Being an All-Inclusive resort, all our meals were included; from the plentiful buffet breakfast at Mahogony Lounge, casual beachside lunch at the Flying Fish grill to a choice of both a-la-carte and buffet restaurants for dinner. Aqua Terra had delicious premium cut steaks, seafood and sushi and Cerulean, the fine-dining option had a menu with ingredients sourced from Barbados’ best local farms and fisheries. You certainly do not go hungry here as in addition to this, there is De Rum Shop Café offering speciality coffees and Bajan cutters (sandwiches) and sweet treats and complimentary daily afternoon tea. We listened for the sound of the conch shell being blowed on Freezy Breezy ice cream bike which was a daily treat.
Sunny days were spent poolside or playing in the sand and trying our hand at Hobie Cat sailing, snorkelling, and Boogie Boarding with some even paddleboarding. There is a floating trampoline and sea hammocks to soak up that cooling Caribbean Sea.

Little ones spent time at the Lil Dippers Kids Club (4-12) which has artistic hands-on activities and crafts. My nephew liked the Shore Break Teen Lounge (13+) with its Wi-Fi, air conditioning and videogames.
Some of the highlights for the grown-ups where when we walked on Friday night down to Oistins for the fish fry, the rum tastings at De Rum Shop and we giggled our way through Peggy’s aquarobics.
Perhaps one of the easiest holidays for our multi-generational trip, we chouse this boutique All-Inclusive as we all paid our money for the package which included it all and then did not need to worry about the rest. We all agreed on having a laid-back holiday and the bonus was that we had plenty of hands around to babysit!
